The Challenge
The concept was strong: a hybrid live-action and CGI world where four gentle, yoga-practising creatures called Piplings share their magical land with real children. The scripts were written, the characters conceived. What it needed was a visual world worth commissioning.
The Idea
Bring Nara to life. Every character, colour and curve had to feel like it existed somewhere just beyond imagination, soft enough for toddlers, distinctive enough for a broadcaster. We worked to translate the warmth and wonder of the concept into a fully formed visual identity, giving the BBC something they could confidently commission.
The Impact
Waybuloo aired on CBeebies, running to 150 episodes across three series. It became a fixture of the CBeebies schedule for four years, with the Piplings and their "Yogo" routines becoming genuinely beloved by a generation of toddlers (and their secretly-joining-in parents).
